For many a visit to Cornwall often means a visit to Trelissick National Trust House and Gardens. Enjoy a superb walk through the estate and along the estuary, with it’s ancient oak woodlands, past the iconiic King Harry Ferry. Not every visitor wants to use the ferry, Some like this lovely Curlew just want the tide to go out so they can get back to the serious business of searching for food. Hopefully you’ll have your camera handy and get a better picture than I did on my phone:) Curlew are still common to see along this unspoilt part of the Fal estuary and are wonderful to see.
Trelissick National Trust Gardens are on the south coast of Cornwall just 25 to 30 minutes from Tehidy, an easy trip out for a gorgeous walk. Enjoy your summer break at Tehidy near Portreath and perfectly placed for exploring.
