Everyone at Tehidy is so pleased to have heard we have got the highest rated  Gold award. Our mission has always been to provide a great environment that benefits our guests and wildlife alike. The two go hand in hand. We are always hearing how much nature benefits our mental and physical health. Green Fact

If we assumed responsibility for every journey our guests make to get to us and back home again Tehidy Holiday Park would still be Carbon Neutral and much more……  we would still be taking approximately 500 tonnes of carbon our of the environment over and above all of our activities and guest journeys account for.

How we calculate this

We use the CARBON TRUST  to calculate the carbon emmissions we are responsible for and how well we are looking after our environment and planet.

We also use carbon calculators to see how much carbon we take from our environment through the rich and diverse natural setting we have at Tehidy.

When the amount of carbon our lovely environment takes from the air is offset with our emmissions + the immissions of all our guest journeys (based on a 300 mile journey for 2000 petrol cars averaging 40mpg, we still remove over 500 tonnes of carbon than is put in.

What’s next

We plan on solar electric panels on the roof of all cottages to reduce our relience on imported electricity. (We are on a 100% green tariff already) We are also looking to move to Green LPG gas in the next few years, reducing our emissions by over 40% more.
