Strange beasties on the coastal footpath in Cornwall
We came across this wee beastie on a fantastic stretch of the coastal footpath in Cornwall between Coverack and Lamorna. It’s well worth doing! At first we didn’t have a clue what it was, so ‘I emailed a friend’. After some thought they had a brainwave and came up with – It’s a larvae of the Bloody Nosed Beetle, quite a rare sighting and they are amazing little things. If they feel threatened they squirt a red goo over you – hence the name. I’m pleased to say they are quite small, so it shouldn’t get too messy.
