A beautiful winters day walk
A beautiful winters day walk along the coast from Portreath towards Godrevy. With cloudless skies, the sun being generous with it’s warmth and the surf lazily rolling in from the Atlantic. But for me the star of the show was the sheer number and variety of birds flitting around the gorse and heath. The one that made me really stop for a closer look was the Stonechat perched on the gorse right by the path. The small robin sized bird made itself known with it’s colour and call – it’s the one that sounds like two flints being knocked together.
