Minack Theater and Porthcurno Beach
Porthcurno beach is a beauty spot in its own right with soft sand and dramatic cliffs. Add to that the history of the bay which includes the Telegraph Museum – Porthcurno was the site that they ran the transatlantic telegraph cable from, connecting England to the rest of the world and was the first of it’s type. Rowena Cade had the vision of a theater built into the cliffs above Porthcurno, from this we now have the world famous Minack Theater. T watch a performance here is wonderful with the ocean forming a dramatic backdrop, if you’re lucky enough to see dolphins passing through it just adds to the drama of the setting. Porthcurno and the Minack Theater are just 35 minutes from Tehidy Holiday Park in Cornwall. The coastal footpath along this section of the coast is a must, particularly along to the stunning fishing village of Penberth below Treen.
