Saturday 14th May was a busy day on site with all the cottages and caravans being prepared for a change over and preparing for our guests arrival to make sure it was easy and welcoming for them. We pride ourselves on being one of the finest Holiday Parks in Cornwall. It was also a day when a nest of magpie fledglings were taking their first flights. Unfortunately one was less developed than it's brothers and sisters and injured a wing during it's attempts to go solo. Luckily David our conservation minded groundsman found it. Seeing it was distressed, and unlikely to survive if left, he managed to catch it and we took it over to the Bird Hospital in Mousehole, where it is now being given the best chance of surviving and will be released back into the wild. Normally nature is allowed to take its course but having a distressed bird on site was not a good option and as we decided to intervene it was only fair to make sure we did so in a positive way. At the end of the day it was time well spent and the rest of the day went very smoothly too
