Turn left from the site and follow the road into Illogan. straight iover the roundabouts and onto the local enterance of the Country Park. Follow this route straight on follow the mining heritage trail signs and signs to Otters Bridge. Otters Bridge is at the bottom of a fairly steep section of track, just over half way down this hill you will see a sign to the right marked to Coombe, as part of the mining heritage trail. follow this track to the road at the end. turn left and over the bridge where, the road divides go right, after a short distance you will see a parking area and path on the right marked Red River Nature Trail. This path follows the Red River for a couple of miles to a road, if you trun left on the road for 50m the path continues by the river but does not now go onto Godrevy beach. If you want to go to the beach take the lane that starts from the right of the Red River path, whre it splits after the farm buildings, keep left and you will join a small back road, keep left again, this joins the coast road just above the beach. This is approx 6miles, on peths and tracks, with some gentle hills and is beautiful.
