From the site you can walk up to Carn Brea, a spectacular ridge behind Redruth and Pool. The ridge looks like the aftermath of giants having a bowling competition at Stone Henge. It is a jumble of huge rocks set on a rugged ridge with wonderful views to the coast. Directions are available from Reception.
